Simon At Helm With U-18's

Former AIL player with UCD and Greystones, and NPC player in New Zealand, Simon Galvan, who gave outstanding service to Sligo as a player, may have hung up his playing boots, but he will resume a coaching role in the club when he coaches the U-18 side in this season’s Connacht league and cup campaigns. Simon, one of the finest players ever to represent the club, brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this position. He will have the very able assistance of Kieran Foley, who was also involved in coaching last year’s U-18’s. Sligo were extremely unlucky in both of last season’s competitions, and they certainly can make a major impact in 2007-8.

Meanwhile, Club captain, Jamie Livingstone, has been appointed coach to the U-16 side, where he will be assisted by Peter Brady and Niall Gray. Jamie will also have much to contribute to this squad.
