Dear Members of Sligo RFC,

In an effort to bring the Connacht Rugby team closer to the people of the province, the team will this year be embarking on a province-wide drive to raise awareness and boost their profile.

This summer saw the Irish rugby team take on the mighty All Blacks in New Zealand with two Connacht players, captain, John Muldoon and hooker Sean Cronin in the starting XV, while Mayo native Gavin Duffy played in the clash against the New Zealand Maori. This is a fantastic honour for all three players whose hard work last season has been duly rewarded. It is also a great honour for the people of Connacht who have failed to be represented on the international stage for far too long. We at Connacht Rugby want to build on this success and the success of the team last year by reaching out to the people of the province. The Connacht team will be holding open training sessions around the province this season and members of the public will be invited to come and watch their team go through their paces.

In an effort to grow Connacht Rugby as a team and as a professional entity, we have, this year, launched a new patrons package. This package will give the public a chance to become a patron of Connacht Rugby while also raising much-needed funds for your local club. The package costs €300 with a 20% commission going to a nominated club of your choice. The rest of the money will be used to improve the Connacht squad and develop the academy. For further information please refer to the enclosed card.

If you require any further information please contact me or alternatively you can contact Martin Fallon in the Connacht Rugby office at the above number or by email at mfallon@cbirfu.com.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Sportsground next season.
Mise le meas,
