Comprehensive Cup Win for Sligo U16s

Ballinrobe RFC U-16 07 – Sligo RFC U-16 62

On Saturday last the Sligo U16s travelled to Ballinrobe in the first round of the Connacht Cup.
On a glorious day for rugby, Sligo started the strongest scoring penalty after 4 mins, the away side continued to mount the pressure on this young Ballinrobe side, scoring 29 points in the first half.

Sligo made 7 substitutions in the 2nd half, but the incoming players didn’t let up, and continued their scoring spree, the final whistle blew on a final scoreline of 7 – 62.
Next up for Sligo is a home league game against Corinthians on Sunday next, February 25th, followed by the cup quarter final against Claremorris on the weekend of March 3rd.
Man of the Match was Max King but this was a real squad performance as everyone played their part in the victory.
