Aaron Spring capped for Ireland U20’s as Ireland beat Italy

Congratulations to the Ireland U20’s side who beat Italy today 29-10 at Donnybrook. Sligo RFC senior team member Aaron Spring gained his first cap for the Ireland U20’s today when he came on as a replacement in the 64th minute of the game.

Aaron is the first player from Sligo RFC to be capped for Ireland at U20 level while still playing with Sligo RFC and everyone at the club congratultes Aaron and his family.

Congratulations also to former Sligo Grammar school player Daniel Qualter (presently with Buccaneers) who was also capped today and scroed a try in the process.

Aaron was presented with the Youth Rugby award for 2008 at the Sligo Weekender Sports Star awards in early 2009. Pat Curran received the ‘Hall of fame’ award that night also. Pictured below are Conor Frazer, Arron Spring, Pat Curran and Tom Gilligan.
