Club gets behind Zero Suicide Campaign

Following on from our great work last year with the Grand Slam and Rome to Home efforts with The Samaritans (thank you Ross O’Boyle) Sligo RFC would like to continue to promote positive mental health in these challenging times. We are recommending this year that we all get behind an initiative called the ‘Ohana Zero Suicide’ campaign, it is basically a free online 20-minute course which focuses on breaking the stigma and encouraging open conversations around suicide. Over 62,000 people have taken the course to date.

This training, which takes approximately 20 minutes, focuses on breaking stigma and encouraging open conversations.

The training will provide you with the tools to enable you to:
1.     Identify the signs that someone may be suicidal
2.     Employ the correct language in asking the appropriate questions
3.     Direct that person to the appropriate help.

Take the training HERE today. The course is also recommended by Rugby Players Ireland
This will help save lives.
