The autumn series sees Ireland play South Africa, Samoa, New Zealand and Argentina in November, while the six nations kicks off in Feb 2011 with home games against France and England, and away games against Italy, Wales and Scotland.

The Clubs International ticket committee made up of Tom Gilligan, Brendan Leahy, Rory Raftery and club trustees Brian Mullan, Vincent O’Brien and Michael Storey advises that applications will be considered from all members, however priority will be given to the following applicants;

  • Members
  • 400 club members
  • Workers in the club
  • Sponsors

This year the committee also draws your attention to the following – ticket applications will not be considered unless the following criteria have been met;

  • All applications must be in writing on the official form
  • Please include payment (cheque or cash) for each game – that is a separate cheque for each game
  • Having applied for tickets, your payment will be processed unless you give at least two weeks notice that you wish to cancel your order – to the address on the bottom of the form

The committee also advises that tickets are issued individually to members who apply for them. The individual to whom the ticket is issued should sit in the allocated seat. If for some reason you are not going to use the ticket yourself then you should advise a member of the ticket committee and return the ticket in advance of the game. Any deviation from this will only be allowed with the express permission of the ticket committee.

Please return your completed application form to Rory Raftery, Anvil House, Burton Street, Sligo before October 31st, 2010.

The members of the committee will do their utmost to ensure that the international tickets get to those of our members who are the most deserving of them. They will be distributed in a fair and equitable manner after much consideration of all of the correctly completed applications.

International Ticket Committee's Unenviable Task

No doubt, the miracle of the loaves and fishes crossed the minds to the club’s International Tickets Sub-Committee as they had the unenviable task of allocating the club’s totally inadequate supply of International tickets for the recent Internationals, and especially for next Saturday’s game in Croke Park against Wales. With such a huge number of applicants, it is understandable that many were disappointed. However, priority was given to fully paid up members, who are active workers in the club, and who support the club’s monthly draw. The President wishes to thank the International Tickets Sub-Committee of Michael Storey [Chair.], Brian Mullan, Vincent O’Brien and Rory Raftery for all their work, and for meticulously adhering to the guide-lines for ticket allocation laid down by the Committee of the club.

International Tickets Application Protocol (UPDATED)

All applications for International tickets for the upcoming home and away 6 Nations games must be made on the official application form, which was enclosed in the membership booklet received by all members on payment of their annual subscription (it can also be downloaded here). Applications must be accompanied by either the correct amount of cash for the ticket, or a signed cheque. As the number of applicants invariably greatly exceeds the supply of tickets, priority will be given by the club’s International Tickets Sub-Committee to fully paid up members who have conformed to the above application procedure, are workers in some capacity in the club, and who are members of the club’s monthly draw. Applications should be forwarded immediately to Brian Mullen, Lissalana, Strandhill Road, Sligo.

International Tickets Application

Priority will be given in the allocation of tickets to fully paid up members who are subscribers to the club’s monthly draw and who are workers in some capacity in the club. All applications must be accompanied by the appropriate amount of cash or by a signed cheque. Applications for the remaining Internationals [both home and away], with cash/cheques, should also be lodged by Friday next. The International Sub-Committee for this season, appointed by the club President is: Michael Storey [Chair.,club Hon.Sec.], Rory Raftery [Membership Sec.], Jonathan Hill [Sponsorship Chairman], Brian Mullan [Club Trustee], Vincent O’Brien [Club Trustee].
