All Ticket Teenage Disco

Tickets for the alcohol free teenage disco, which will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park, on Friday, October 26th have gone on sale from the usual sellers. As stated in last week’s notes, this is strictly an all ticket event, and only those with tickets will be admitted.

All stewards are required to report by 8.30 pm at the latest.

Halloween Disco Will Be All Ticket

A special Halloween alcohol-free teenage disco will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park, on Friday October 26th at 9 pm. This disco will be strictly all ticket and tickets go on sale from the usual sellers this week. Intending patrons are advised to purchase their tickets without delay.

The Committee have decided that the event will be strictly all ticket, and emphasise that no cash will be accepted on the evening, and that there will be absolutely no exceptions to this. Anyone who has not got an admission ticket should not present at Hamilton Park on that evening, and parents/guardians are advised that their son/daughter will only gain admittance if they are in possession of a ticket.

Successful Disco

Last Friday night’s alcohol-free teenage disco was a huge success and was thoroughly enjoyed by the capacity attendance. The club President wishes to thank the 29 stewards who were present on the evening and who ensured everything ran so smoothly. In particular he wishes to express his gratitude to Justin Harte, who was responsible for the logistics, and who did an outstanding job, to House Chairman, John Kane and to Hon. Secretary, Michael Storey, who recruited the stewards. The next disco will be at the Halloween mid-term break, and will be held on Friday October 26th at 9 pm. Full details later.

Alcohol Free Disco On Friday

All arrangements have been completed for the teenage alcohol free disco which will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park, on Friday next, September 28th at 9 pm. Tickets have been on sale for the past week, so to avoid disappointment, purchase should be made without delay. A top D.J.has been booked, so a great evening is assured. All stewards are required to attend at 8.30 pm.

Successful Charity Disco

Last Friday evening’s special charity disco in the clubhouse was very successful and attracted a large attendance. All monies collected at the disco go to two special charities, the Sligo Branch of Special Olympics, and to part sponsor member James Coulter, who travels to Cape Town to assist in the township building programme there. Many thanks to DJ, Levi Curran who kindly gave his services free, to Tiger Press who printed the admission tickets, and to the 28 stewards and to Peter Gillespie for his trojan work. Congratulations to all who attended on their excellent behaviour.

Alcohol-Free Charity Disco

All intending to support the special alcohol-free teenage charity disco, which will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park on Friday July 20th, should purchase their tickets immediately from the usual sellers. The disco commences at 9 pm, and all stewards are required to be present by 8.30 pm. As the DJ Levi Curran is very kindly giving his services free, and Tiger Press printed the admission tickets free, the entire proceeds will go to the two charities, the Sligo Branch of Special Olympics, and to part sponsor club member, James Coulter, who travels to Cape Town in October to assist in Niall Mellon’s house building project in the townships there.

All proceeds go jointly to the Sligo Branch of Special Olympics, chaired by Colr. Deirdre Healy-McGowan, and to part sponsor club member, James Coulter, who travels to Cape Town in October to partake in the Niall Mellon Foundation building programme in the townships there.

Charity Disco

Tickets will shortly go on sale for the special alcohol-free charity teenage disco which will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park on Friday July 20th. The entire proceeds of the disco are being donated to two very worthy causes, the Sligo Branch of Special Olympics and to partially sponsor club member, James Coulter, who travels to Cape Town, South Africa, in October, to join workers at the Niall Mellon Foundation, who are constructing houses to replace shacks in the townships there.

Sligo RFC are sponsoring the printing of  the admission tickets for the disco, and will be responsible for stewarding the event, while regular DJ at club discos, Levi Curran, has very generously volunteered to give his services free on the evening.

Special Alcohol-Free Teenage Charity Disco

On Friday July 20th, a special alcohol-free, charity teenage disco will be held in the Clubhouse, Hamilton Park. All proceeds of this disco are being donated equally to two very worthy charities, the Sligo Branch of Special Olympics Ireland, which is chaired by Cllr Deirdre Healy-McGowan, and to club member, James Coulter, who travels to Cape Town, South Africa in October to participate in the Niall Mellon house building scheme in the townships there. As stated, the entire proceeds from the disco are being donated to the two charities, as all overheads are being discharged. Sligo RFC will provide the stewarding, and will also sponsor the cost of printing the admission tickets, while the regular D.J. at the club’s discos, Levi Curran, has very generously offered his services free on the evening.

Special Olympics Ireland cater for 11,000 athletes at present, and with their ongoing recruitment drive, plan to have 16,000 athletes by the end of 2007. Dubliner, Niall Mellon has earned worldwide acclaim for his work in endeavouring to eradicate shacks from the South African landscape. The members of our club commend fellow member, James Coulter for his idealism in assisting in this work, and his share from the proceeds of the disco will fund part of the cash required by him to partake in the scheme. Some club members have already contributed to this fund, and any member who wishes to be associated with the project should contact James with their contribution.

Meanwhile, last Friday night’s alcohol-free disco was very successful. Many thanks to the 30 stewards who supervised the event, and to all who attended, for their exemplary behaviour.

Intending patrons are reminded that this is a strictly ticket only event, so noboby should travel to the venue without a ticket. The disco is intended for Junior Cycle students in post-primary schools. A top DJ has been engaged for the evening.

All stewards are required to be in attendance at 8.30 pm.

The disco will cater for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students in Post Primary Schools, so TY or Senior Cycle students should not present. This will be a strictly all ticket event. Tickets will be available from the usual sellers shortly.
