Help is needed from all members and friends for the final push of the fundraising scrap collection! A huge ammount of scrap has been sourced, and help is needed this Saturday (1st) to gather for final collection. Please assemble at the clubhouse at 9am on Saturday morning!

George Hamlet, “Maleme”, Strandhill Road, Sligo. Peacefully at North West Hospice. Funeral service will take place in St John’s Cathedral, John Street, Sligo, at 1 pm on Thursday. Burial in Rosses Point Cemetery afterwards. House strictly private please. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Sligo Rugby Club Junior Section or North West Hospice, c/o Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo.
Sligo RFC’s oldest and longest serving member, former club President George Hamlet, passed away in the early hours of this morning following his recent battle against illness.
May he rest in peace.
Our thoughts are with his daughters Jill and Wendy at this time.
Arrangements will be posted on reciept.
As a mark of respect the general commitee meeting scheduled for this evening has been postponed.
