SLIGO RFC – JUVENILE SECTION. We are looking for coaches and assistants for our Under age teams for the new season 2010/11 starting on the 4th September 2010 with registration in Sligo RFC (Hamilton Park, Strandhill, Sligo) from 10am to 11:30am for age groups Under 7 to Under 12’s. If you have a son/daughter (age 6 years or over) who is interested in joining us this season and you are keen as a parent to get involved – please contact the Co-ordinator – Justin Harte at 086-8162265. Sligo RFC adheres to the IRFU Child Welfare Policy. All Coaches will be Garda vetted this season in keeping with good practice. The training grounds for the Juvenile section will be Sligo IT again this year, however, for the month of September training will take place at Sligo RFC, Hamilton Park, Strandhill due to maintenance work being carried out on the Sligo IT pitches.

Due to time constraints, the Sligo Rugby Football Club fundraising draw, due to take place on the 21st of August has been posponed until the 26th of September.
The draw, in which Prizes of €1,000, €500 and €250 are up for grabs, will take place in Mc Hughs Bar Grattan Street Sligo on the evening of the 26th. Some tickets are still available for purchase. For details contact Ross Mannion at the Record Room, Grattan Street, Sligo.
Sligo RFC would like to invite all members, supporters, and friends to Hamilton Park, next tuesday evening (August 24th) to witness a unique event, when the senior team play host to Dublin University (Trinity College), to mark the centenary of the first fixture between the two clubs, played in 1910.The teams will battle it out on the pitch to earn the right to lift the George Hamlet Trophy, named after Sligo RFC’s popular elder statesman, former Club president, and dedicated servant of the club for over 50 years, who will be in attendance at the match and post match reception in the clubhouse.
The Match kicks off at 6pm.
