Earlier this season the Sligo RFC U18 side won the Connacht U18 league and have now qualified for the All Ireland U18 Cup Competition. Sligo are due to face the Munster champions Highfield RFC in the semi-final which takes place at The Sportsground in Galway this Saturday March 28th. Kick off is at 14:30hrs.
Team coaches Gavin Foley and Ross O’Boyle together with team manager Ber Holt have put a lot of time into the squad over the course for the season. At training this week they expressed their pride in the teams success to date and welcome the challange of the game against Highfield RFC at the weekend.
Team Captain Thomas Gormley is also looking forward to the occasion as he prepares to lead his troops onto the field on Saturday.
Club President Conor Frazer asks club members to get behind the team and encourages as many as possible to try to get to Galway on Saturday to lend your support.
