Club President Tom Gilligan making a presentation to new Youth International Aaron Spring, accompanied by Sligo RFC Youth Chairman John Davey.
Congratulations to 16 year old Aaron Spring, who has been selected on the Irish International Youths squad which travels to play France on Saturday next [February 9th]. Aaron has been an inspirational figure as a No. 8, on our U-16 side all season. On Saturday week last, he played a key role in Connacht’s victory in the inter-provincial Youths final in Mullingar.
A very versatile player, who possesses pace, power and footballing acumen, he was an outstanding full-back for Summerhill College in last week’s Connacht Senior Schools’ local derby against Sligo Grammar School. Aaron looks destined to have a very bright future in the game.

I M VERY PROUD OF MY NEPHEW ,I SAW HIM PLAY WHEN HE CAME OVER TO ENGLAND AND HE THOUROUGHLY DESERVES THIS HONOUR.HIS FAMILY IN ENGLAND ARE DELIGHTED FOR HIM AND WISH HIM WELL
I just received word that Aaron is going to start at No. 7 today.
