All Games Postponed last Week-End

The inclement weather ensured that all games scheduled for Sligo teams last week-end had to be cancelled. The U-20′s fixture with Enniskillen, which was fixed for Saturday in Hamilton Park was the first casualty, while the 2nd XV’s league fixture against West Offaly Lions in Ferbane was also a victim of the weather. The 1st team had a bye in the league on Sunday.

On Saturday next, the U-20′s have a game in Hamilton Park on Saturday [kick-off 2 p.m.] against either Enniskillen or City of Derry. The 2nd team resume their league campaign with a home game against Loughrea on Sunday next [kick-off 2.30 p.m.].

Sligo Under 13s V Creggs RFC Match Report

Whilst depleted in numbers, due to the unavailability of a significant number of their established players, Sligo RFC Under 13s were still able to run out onto the pitch with a good panel of both experienced and new players. Creggs, who had a similar sized squad, had driven up from their own flooded pitches, determined to have a good game in what were cold and wet weather conditions. Unlike the last fixture against Westport, mud did not feature in what proved to be an excellent game of Rugby, watched by supporters from both clubs.
